As a guest of the Tonight Show, Mat has backed up k.d. Lang, The Back Street Boys, Tanya Tucker and broadway productions of Wicked and Grease. Mat has arranged guitar and rhythm section for Nils Lofgren and Donna Summers appearances on the Tonight Show and had his vocal abilities featured on skits in styles ranging from REM to the Beatles, Steppenwolf and Bobby Troup.
