Jeff Pevar

Jeff Pevar is a guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, performer, vocalist, composer and producer who has worked with some of the finest in the music business, including Ray Charles, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Joe Cocker, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Jefferson Starship, David Foster, Phil Lesh and Friends, Bette Midler, Rickie Lee Jones, Carly Simon, Jimmy Webb, Laura Nyro, Jennifer Warren and many others. After Jeff had been touring with David Crosby and Graham Nash in a trio format in the early 90's, Crosby invited Jeff to partner with him and his son, James Raymond, to record, tour and co-produce 4 records under the band name "CPR". The 3 partners composed original material and toured in the US and Europe including performing at the world famous Montreaux Jazz Festival. Although Jeff has been working with a myriad of artists as a guitarist, Jeff was also invited to play bass guitar on the "Hero's Of Woodstock Tour" with Jefferson Starship celebrating the 40th anniversary of Woodstock in 2009. Other projects included members of Michael Jackson's last touring ensemble (Who Is It) with fellow Ray Charles alumni, Morris Pleasure, who was in MJ's last band. Mo landed the MD spot for Bette Midler in 2015 and hired Jeff to tour with Ms. Midler in a 14 piece ensemble in the US and UK. Earlier in 2015 Jeff recorded in LA for the independent artist, Pat McGee along with LA's "Laurel Canyon Crew" featuring Russ Kunkel, Leland Sklar and Waddy Wachtel. Jeff also performs occasionally with famed guitarist, Danny Kortchmar. Jeff released his debut solo CD in 2012 called From The Core recorded in the Oregon Caves also featuring iconic YES vocalist Jon Anderson on the single River Of Dreams. In the fall of 2015 Jeff released an instrumental CD he produced and financed for the interpretive jam-band ensemble, Jazz Is Dead called Grateful Jazz featuring a myriad of iconic jazz/fusion musicians including Rod Morgenstein, T Lavitz, Alphonso Johnson, Jerry Goodman, Bill Evans, Howard Levy and others, performing improvisational arrangements of Grateful Dead compositions that Pevar arranged for the ensemble.
