Ember

"I believe and support Eminence, for quality, for tone, that they are reasonably priced, and offer a wide selection - from 'tried and true' to 'experimental' - for those like me looking to push the envelope of guitar tone." - Deuce Wanier With an emotive, hard rocking sound and confessional lyrics recalling the best of modern rock radio, Ember is quickly becoming one of the hottest bands to emerge from Austin's rock scene. Since their inception, the 5-piece has performed at venues across Texas, the Midwest, and California. Ember recorded their first EP "Take Everything" in 2004 with the Pipes brothers (Drowning Pool), and quickly grew their fan base across the country. The band consists of vocalist Chris Martinez, lead guitarist Deuce Wanier, guitarist Jared Duyck, drummer Dusty Saxton and bassist Matt Linton. For live performances and general practice, Deuce Wanier requires a vocal yet strong speaker to reproduce the emotion and pure rock that's being performed on the guitar. "I'm a self-proclaimed tone connoisseur," said Wanier. "I'm the guy that plays an amp, then adjusts, listens, plays again, and repeats for 2 hours and I'm still not happy. I believe and support Eminence, for quality, for tone, that they are reasonably priced, and offer a wide selection - from 'tried and true' to 'experimental' - for those like me looking to push the envelope of guitar tone." In February of 2008, the band played a showcase in New York City, garnering interest from many major labels. Toward the latter of 2008 Ember signed with The Price Agency, and has beefed up their tour roster. With a follow-up E.P, titled "Under Pressure" under the direction of Grammy award winning producer Sylvia Massy Shivy, and a busy touring schedule, you will undoubtedly be hearing a lot more of Ember. You can buy their current release on Itunes or look forward to their new album scheduled out June of 2009. You can hear tracks on their Myspace site (www.myspace.com/emberaustin).
